Disrespecting people unfourtantly is the way some choose to deal with the folks who are looking for there Cherokee ancestry it is unfortunate but a reality.
It is not that you are other's are not as smart as those talking you down.
It has to with how much do you care about knowing your family history.There opinion or thoughts have nothing to do with it.
History is often manipulated to prove a point.And the fact is If you are a living
decendant of any tribe and you can prove it you are part of that history, it belongs to you regardless of what someone might say.
And remember being disrespectful is easy
throwing around big wordsand smug remarks are easy.
All Native people have suffered.Who is to say has the most wounds.
Now you have the unfortuint situation where the Oppressed are the freedman decendant's,And the oppressor's are the ones who were once oppressed themselves . Take care of your self
