Dear givens, I got the packets from other members of my family. They got the packets from the historical society. Try to see if you all have a historical society. I found the dawes roll @ accessgenealogy.com. On this site is alot of info. The first thing to do is find your ancestors dawes roll number. Once you find it then you can send of for there census packet. Keep in mind that all Indian did not make it on the dawes roll. The only ones that are on there are the ones that received land allotments. Also try to find them at ancestry.com. You can get a 14 day trial period. Remember in doing your research that dates and place are very important- they can help you alot. Also know that some of the counties that were back then no longer exist today. Whatever you do dont give up if I can be of anymore assistance please let me know. Keep me posted on how your search is going.
