I find this thread quite interesting since I am researching my ancestor Samuel LANDRUM who (according to Census records) was born in Georgia. I find him in 1870 living in Bullock Co. Alabama which is one of the counties near the AL/GA border. I have not yet conclusively identified his slave owner yet but do understand that there is possibly some Indian heritage in this line.
