Re: Where Was Your Ancestor's Land Allotment?

This can also be done for the Creek freedmen descendants. Knowing the land description and the county helps to find the owner of your ancestor's allotted land whether they be the present owner or not.

I discussed land allotments with Rodslen Brown (Cherokee freedmen descendant) in June of this year, but no response from her. She lives in Muscogee. Although she is Cherokee, I asked about Creek freedmen families that lived in Muscogee county such as: Barnett, Sango, Hardridge and Murrell, if she knew any.

This type of research is another way of knowing more about your ancestors in the Creek nation.

Thanks for posting!
