Hearing on Cherokee Freedmen Set for 5/5/14
The hearing originally scheduled for April 28th was re-scheduled for Monday May 5th, and will finally be heard at 10 am at the Federal Courthouse in Washington DC. This is the federal case, "Cherokee Nation v Cherokee Freedmen Vann & Nash". All in the greater Washington DC who are interested in this case are free to attend. It will occur in Courtroom 25A.
This case was preceded by other cases through the years, and many times throughout the 20th century issues pertaining to Cherokee Freedmen were addressed. For more information see link below.
