After a long search and many helpful tugs from members on this site....I can proudly say that according to Gus Buffington's testimony, He came over with Joshua buffington,He states he is a descendant of the old family, which Joshua Buffington is the head He even listed his Indian Name as being "chutellixey", now the speeling may just be wrong or it was phonetically spelled...I do not know which. Also, he stated," I came to his country with the immigrant Cherokee of which I'am one on my fathers side." My jaws dropped lol but i still feel i have a lot more research to do to verify these statements? any tips besides getting more documentation? I looked for the Buffingtons slave manifest or hints about any names of slave they may have owned but no luck. My next quest is to look
