Secretary of State Kurt S. Browning announces that a series of workshops will be offered to organizations interested in applying for historic preservation grants from the Department of State, Division of Historical Resources, Bureau of Historic Preservation.

Two workshops will be held in Tallahassee during October, and webinar presentations based on the workshops will be given during November and December.

Workshop I: Applying for a Historic Preservation Grant will be held November 4, and Workshop II: Grants Management will be held November 5. Both workshops will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room 307 of the R.A. Gray Building in Tallahassee. A condensed version of the Applying for a Historic Preservation Grant workshop will be presented as webinars for those who are applying for grant assistance during the current Small Matching solicitation period October 1, 2009 – December 18, 2009. The webinars will be offered November 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and December 3, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. A “Question and Answer” session for potential grant applicants will be included during the webinars.
