Also, for everyone's sake, please keep in mind that a surname appearing on one of the rolls of the Five Civilized Tribes does not make that name an "Indian" name. All five tribes intermarried extensively with Europeans and blacks with the surnames of their Euro-descended masters. For a surname to be considered an Indian name, it would have to be original to the tribe, such as my surname Cornsilk, which arose as a surname independently among at least five Cherokee families unrelated to each other. My surname also appears among no other ethnic groups.
