Re: How to find early death records?

I sent to Arkansas twice,looking for a death cert.and looking for a marriage cert.They found neithier one but they kept the money.I don,t think you can just ask them by e-mail or a letter i think you have to send the money for them to look. I never stood a chance because i did,t have the date he died or the date he got married.They told me i could send them some more money and they would search for it,i said no. A very nice person went to the library and looked up all the tombstones around where he lived and some more counties around there,she found nothing,so the story you said about some of the people being buried in a box and the death not reported could be true in his case.The other thing since his last siting was on the 1930 census,maybe he left Arkansa and died somewhere else. Another thing in 1900 he worked as a railroad worker in Alabama,i wonder if they have any records. Anna
