Hi, I am putting together a family tree of the Melchor families mostly of Cabarrus County, N.C. As far as I remembered there was this lady back in the late 1960s or just barely into 1970 named Lucy Mclain Melchor who at the time lived between Cabarrus and Rowan in an area known as the Pines. According to some files she was born in or about June 15, 1883 and died on January 1971. Her residence at the time of her death was Rowan County, she was a widow as well. She had married a Robert Melchor probably in Cabarrus County, and when I do not know; however the names of those in the family in 1910 were Robert her husband;
Henry Melchor age 5
Frances E Melchor age 2/l1
Edna Dick age 12

In the 1930 census for Cabarrus other members are
Robert Jr. age 13
Ruth age 20
and Elmarie Melchor age 7 *

*Elmarie is listed also as
Elmira Lucy Ernestine Melchor born jan 16 1921 born to Robert L Melchor and Lucy J Mclain
Robert Alfred Melchor born July 31, 1916 born to Robert L Melchor
and Lucy J Mclain
