Re: I'm at a stand still

Dear "NOT Looney!
I started researching my family tree last year in October. When I started my Mother was the first and only person I had to ask questions. Her normal response and attitude was for quite some time "why are you looking for those dead people?"
I refused to let that kind of attitude impede my progress. I continued on and ignored her and the little remarks when I did share. Finally, I found another Cousin who is 86 years old and believe me, her joy at helping me find people, her "memory bowl" as I have now coined the phrase was brought to life instantly!
We were like two little girls who giggle and can't stop. With that at my back I continued with even more vigor. I just finished combining nine months of research with over 112 photographs into a book for up-coming Family Reunion. 3 days ago I took a finished copy to my Mother and she cried slow uncrontrollable tears. She told me that she was so proud of me that I had gathered so many of them together!
Don't give up . . . THEY WILL COME AROUND!
