Looking for information on the Holmes family of Caroline County, Va:

Silas Holmes born about 1835; his wife Malisse Jones Holmes born about 1840,
their children
Champe (1860),
Emma (1864),
Lazarus (1868),
Lucy (l859),
Sidney (1856).
I have found them in the 1870 and 1880 census.

Other family members: Allan Holmes (1837), and
my great grandmother Louisa Holmes Winston (1845).
