My PATERNAL GREAT GRANDFATHER was Frank Parks. He died in KC., Ks in 1963 at age 90. Earlier, he lived in Springfield, Mo. He had eight children: EDWARD (1893-1963) MARRIED BIRDIE McGHEE (18??-1939),MY PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS; Alma, Gertrude,Emma,Willis, Ellis,Raymond and Cal. FRANK PARKS MARRIED MILLIE BIGSBY (18??-1911). The Parks family had a feud: some moved to Fort Scott,Ks while others stayed in Springfield who later moved to the KC area.

MY PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS, EDWARD & BIRDIE had five children while living in Springfield, Mo., Annabelle (1916-1965),Leroy, MY FATHER, (1918-1990), Elnora, Geraldine (1924-1988), Harry Douglas (1926-2000). Birdie grew up in Springfield in a large family who were part Cherokee Indian. Two uncles were Tom & Peter McGhee.
