Buck NORRIS, 1800's SC
With the help of others I have found my GrGrGreat Grandmother, Eliza NORRIS, born January, 1838 in SC. I first see her in the 1880 Census in Harrison County, Marshall, TX at age 62, a widdow and living with her oldest daughter and son-in-law, Mary and George Hall.
After 7 months and MUCH research, this evening in Sacramento, CA I met a Cousin I never knew I had who was raised by Eliza NORRIS' youngest daughter, Millie NORRIS. She for the 1st time gave me a name to chase for the very mysterious husband of ELIZA born in 1838 SC, Buck NORRIS. The Cousin also said that he may have been known as Booker T as well but, that everyone had called him Buck NORRIS. I don't know how much older he was than Eliza but he too was born in SC. I have no idea of what county or city.
Desperate for any news or sign of BUCK NORRIS. Eliza and Buck's last child, Millie Norris was born in Marshall, TX abt. 1870 so Buck had to still be alive and living in Texas as all the remaining children were born in TX. The oldest of the 6 was Sonnie and he was born in SC as well.
Other names that you might find in a household with Buck would be the children:
Sonnie Norris, born 1859 SC
All the girls were younger than Walter.
Both sons, Sonnie and Marcus are living with an older cousin, Tilman BUOY, in 1880 Harrison County, Marshall, TX so I know they are related to the BUOY's and there is also a 50 yr. Aunt to the HOH in this household, Caroline ROBERTS.
