There are certain names that we know are based with origin such as Juan, Jose being Hispanic, Jean-Pierre being French, etc.
Does anyone know where I can look to find origins of names?

My paternal grandmother's family all had names such as Cato, Maceo, Scripo, Ziliphia, etc but last names were Jones. I'd like to find out how they came about those unusual names.
