I am trying to find the parents of my gg grandmother Ellen Bright.
she married Henry Hicks and lived in Lenoir Co NC. She was born in 1845. In the 1870 and 1880 census, there are a lot of Brights in Kinston, Contentnea and Vance townships in Lenoir co NC. I think that Richard Bright was her brother, since in 1870, he had a daughter named Henrietta. My gg grandmother named one of her sons Richard and one of her daughter's Henrietta. How can I figure out who Ellen's father was? I know that it is not Adam Bright, since his daughter Roxie was the second wife of Richard Bright. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Eva.
