Need Assistance from Art with Ohio Research

Hello Art,

Wondering if you can give me a hand with your expertise in Ohio. I'm looking for information on a Nicholas Alexander, I read he was a well known individual. Nicholas Alexander was the uncle of John Hanks Alexander of Arkansas. John was the second African American to graduate from West Point. John is also the son of James Milo Alexander. James Milo Alexander was a slave among eight others purchased by my ancestors slaveowner in Va. He ended up in Arkansas with the slaveowners sister. James Milo was favored by his slaveowners in Arkansas, and fortunately during the 1850's-1860's he became a businessman, and land owner purchasing the freedom of his family.I was very impressed with this families story. However, among that lot of slave purchased, there was a Richard, I've always wondered if this is my ggg-grandfather, and now the possibility that there may be a relationship with James Milo.

I'm looking to find all information on Nicholas, death date, parents, siblings, children etc. I do know on the 1880 census he is a barber in Cinn. Hamilton County,Ohio.
