Basil, where do your DEDMANs originate? I know of a family of that name (DEADMAN, DEDMAN, DEDMON) in Arkansas, though I don't believe there are any by that surname living. Descendants, yes, but not carrying the surname. One of them was my elementary school teacher..... many years ago:-)
