Hopefully someone out there has information on the following family:

William M. Moorman b. 1853 d. 1908. Married Mary Susan circa 1870, 4 children: William C. b.1881; Rose M. b.1882; Julia A. b.1884; Eva b.1887

Married Millie Saunders 1892, 7 or 8 children: Annie b.1892 d.1967; Mary M. b.1896; Arville b. ?; Charles (who later became a doctor in Lynchburg, VA); Herschell b.1910, d. 1965; Archibal b.1906,d. 1981; Floyd b.1908, d. 1975

Family was believed to be owned by Samuel Clemens' great grantmother, Rachel Clark (Moorman) Goggins (b.1737 d.1802), as slaves. I believe her husband was a Goggins. The slave(s) were willed to her from her father.

Locations: Lynchburg, Va, Campbell Co, Va, Pittsylvania, Va, Bedford, Va, Baltimore, Md, Stroudsburg, Pa, Philadelphia, Pa
William M. was a Pastor in these areas also.

Ethenic background: African American, Native American and Mulatto
