I found your ggrandfather King Mitchell in the 1870 census of Houston County as a 14 year old. His father's first name is very unclear. It could be Hyde, Clyde or Dyde. Ancestry.com as it listed as Dyde. King's mother name is listed in 1870 by the first initial only and that initial is D.

Now in 1880, I found King with his wife Olley living next to his mother. In 1870, his mother was listed with the initial D. But in 1880, her name is listed as Dowzy. Dowzy is not listed with her husband.
