Six years to the date of my first email. I have an update and still unsolved mystery.

Found the marriage certificate dated 1877 between Sid and Amelia. From this, I was able to locate the maiden name for Amelia and then Amelia on the 1870 census. A transcription error prevented me from finding them on the census but I was able to find them in Schley County:

I am still uncertain about the parents of Sid. I was hoping to get a hold of a death certificate that would hopefully list the parents name on it. Still trying to confirm the name change.
