Yes, in each individual funeral home there should be a person who inputs the funeral programs into a database system. Just as they would when the receive a person's love one for the after care process. Times have changed now. They don't have to keep records written in old registers now.

Many funeral homes now have web sites , that have obits posted on line and they will notify you when a person has passed on. Just as it is posted in the Newspapers, many funeral homes post it on their web site.

You can also visit the cemeteries and ask if they have any old burial log registers that you may view. Ask them if they need help with documenting the older burials. It may sound creepy but......... the cemetery caretaker(s) can give you just as much information as the Funeral Director can.
