A recent example of correcting information from a "verifying source" in my genealogical research may be seen here on AfriGeneas in a correction to the lineage for some of my great-grandchildren. The father of one of their great-great grandmother's I had listed was actually her step-father. An AfriGeneas reader pointed me to her biological father and that information was reviewed, verified and corrected.

To me, it was a blessing to have my error pointed out and led down a corrected path.
