Wow, Tim!!!

What a great story!!! There are a couple of lessons there---
1) You found the name of someone, though not connected to you and you saw that there was a story, and you researched it. There is value sometimes in simply telling the story of someone unrelated, who stands out to you or who has caught your attention.

2) The value of using oral history collections was a critical part of the story which was the focus of your session. Frequently collections provide details about the lives of individuals---but also provide amazing glimpses into the quality of life for the entire community.

3) Of course the other piece was the chance that AAHGS national president would be a direct descendant and was there hoping to learn more about his ancestor. What a story!!!
