Response:

High school might be different from junior high (middle school now), in that old copies of the school newspapers might have been retained. I was the Art Editor for my school newspaper in the ninth grade, elected to student government and was a hall counselor. I used to keep those pages with my drawings and other contributions to the paper. However, the school district's archive department informed me last year that their policy is to only retain individual photos and report cards.

I wrote a letter about 3-1/2 months ago to my high school district's archive department but no reply yet. Hopefully, you will have better luck.
