Thanks for the article, it has really enlightened me about Georgetown. I knew that Blacks lived in Georgetown at one time. I had a friend and his family grew up in Georgetown. They ended up living in the North East part Washington, DC. I really hope others will read this article.
I knew about the Black Churches that still exist in Georgetown and some are still there. I live right out side of Washington, DC and the article is correct, mostly whites live there now. Most of the Blacks were pushed out, of course. Georgetown is a very upscale neighborhood now with mini malls, clubs and restuarants, no parking, of course.

Now Blacks are being pushed out of Washington, DC to live in VA and MD.
