Daisy, daughter of Harry Yarrell, petitioned the Lauderdale County Chancery Court in the May 1898 term alleging
that her mother, Mary Yarrell and 2 sisters, Eurca (Erica) and Lavina sold their interest in her deceased fathers land
to J.D. King who then sold the land to G.T. Lockard. Daisy admitted she signed the deed but was only 18 years old
and received no consideration for signing said deed and asked the court to nullify the deed made to J.D. King
because the selling price was not a fair & equitable and that the land be sold because J.D. King has not paid rent for
3 years and that the proceeds distributed among the owners according to their respective interest and that the court
order the Defendant, J.D. King to pay the complainant, Daisy Yarrell, a reasonable rental for use or occupation of
said land.

Robert Wallace Radcliff (also known as "Bob") was born to Rachel Radcliff and to a father whose name is
unknown at this point. Robert's racial or ethnic background is categorized as "mulatto," according to the June 1880
Census. Robert married Pearlie Yarrell January 13, 1887 . They purchased 243 acres of land in Meridian,
Mississippi, which is presently known as "Radcliff Bottom". This land was purchased from J.E. Sharman on
February 15, 1896 for the sum of $1,300. Robert Wallace Radcliff was also a charter member and treasurer of the
H.B.A. Funeral Company.

After Pearlie died, Robert Wallace Radcliff married Eddie Bell Johnson, sister of Hattie Johnson who was married
to Leo Hall.
