The acknowledgement was one in which she stated: "I was suppose to call you but my brother had an accident......Doll has helped me alot..." The conversation went from midwifery to the situation surrounding her brother for about 5+ minutes.
I know that others in attendance were somewhat surprised. Also, when questions were being asked, I was passed over so much that others tried to bring this to her attention by stating to her that my hand was raised. I was only acknowledged after no one else had any questions. This is the time I was able to make my prescence known.
I thank you kindly for Afrigeneas' support but I think I handled it well. I won't support the book unless my ancestors contributions are noted and documented.
It was her mother who told her and I back in 1999 that my ancestor was the one who was the apprentice to her mothers' midwifery. So, it is a well known fact.
