Re: Could this be Will HAWKINS-Update

I have found another possible match for Will HAWKINS in a bordering county of Elbert. I thought I had a good memory, but after going back out to the storage unit to dig out my box of compiled notes I came across this Will born 1880:

1900 Wilkes County,Pents District 176, ED 114, sheet 11B
HAWKINS, Sander, B, Dec 1849, 50, married 20, Ga, Ga, Ga
Anna E., B, May 1860, 40, 11 children/6 living, Ga, Ga, Ga
William, son, B, May 1880, 20
Edward, son, B, Sept 1883, 16
Susan, dau, B, May 1885, 15
Caroline, dau, B, Dec 1889, 10
Annie E, dau, B, Oct 1896, 03
Charles, son, B, Jun 1898

I don't know tho, becuase in Will's WWI draft card he was born in August 1880...however, I'm not beyond considering a month of birth difference as most people traced thru the census were lucky to know their ages! There is no George born 1890 either in this household and I'm still convinced that they were cousins. Cannot find a Will/William in 1910 or 1920 Wilkes County, so either this Will died or moved out of the county into another. Sanders and Anna Eliza (BURNES)HAWKINS are in Wilkes County thru 1920. They married in Wilkes County on 24 Nov. 1879..on the 1880 Census William is age 01 month.
Elbert County has only a tax digest for 1849, 1851 and 1860 and Voters Registration for 1975, at least on LDS-FHL Microfilm. I'm going to write a letter to the clerk of Elbert County and ask if other Tax or Voter registration records are available that were not microfilmed.
