A Long Way Back Home
Story of Irene Jackson who at the age of 7 was sent away by her grandmother to live with someone in California against the wishes of the true mother of the child. As those years go on, Irene's life is caught between that rock and hard place, as she attempts to get over the sudden death of her husband, and then to raise three little girls. Her struggle goes on, but it's one that allows her to keep her head above water. Yet, she knows about the place she came from, the true mother, and of the grandmother who gave her away; she knows of her siblings, and yet she has over those years never returned to her roots until o ne day her daughter and a cousin meet for the first time, a cousin doing family research, and from there things begin to strike back.
