I really sat up and took notice when you mentioned Ohio and Hancock County. Would your family have been living in Findlay, Ohio? If so your stories may have connections/intersections with my family lines of Adams and Glasco.

The Adamses were in Findlay from 1848 and there are many descendants still in the area. The Glasco's were in-laws to the Adams family and came to Findlay in the mid 1850's.
