Hi~
Patricia Law Hatcher has a book out about writing your family history titled Producing a Quality Family History. She also has one titled Indexing Family Histories: Simple Steps for a Quality Product. There are also these titles out there: Writing the Family Narrative by Lawernce P. Gouldrup and Evidence! Citation and Analysis for the Family Historian by Elizabeth Shown Mills. I plan to pick these up soon from the library and see what works and what doesn't, then I'll go purchase what I find useful so that I can mark it up--smile.
I do agree a lot with Write Away (and have heard it in writing workshops)--just write without limitations and then go back and edit et cetera.
Best wishes to you in your research and with your project!
