Your vision of your family newsletter is intriguing. I like your ideas, especially linking history to the backgrounds of your family. Too often newsletters leave out historical events that affected the lives of family ancestors.

I saw one newsletter that included drawings and brief histories illustrated and written by young children. It not only reinforces a sense of belonging to very special family and history, it also records for posterity the cherished writings of a young child. Can you imagine a child at "Show and Tell" showing his/her classmates their story published in a book!
