If you are ever in Memphis, Tennessee, the Civil Rights Tour is a MUST to do. Slavehaven is part of the Tour, along with W.C. Handy's home and The Lorraine Motel. Slavehaven (The Underground Railroad Museum), also known as the Burkle Estate, is an ante-bellum house built in 1850 by Jacob Burkle. This house is the last stop on a series of homes in Memphis connected by underground tunnels. Once slaves made it to the Burkle Estate, they would enter an underground passageway to the Mississippi River where a boat was waiting to carry them north.
I've never toured any other estate which was part of the Underground Railroad, but this house is amazing. Tourists are allowed to descend down the stairs into the cellar and stand in the places where slaves stood waiting for a sign that Freedom was almost near. The passage way to the River has been sealed off, but everything else still remains, including the hole underneath the house where slaves had to slide on their bellies to enter the cellar room.
I don't have a website for it, but Slavenhaven is operated by Heritage Tours, Inc. The phone number is 901-527-3427.
