Hi, I found this board googling for DeBaptiste and am very pleased to find so much interest in him.

The Samuel Denton connection is interesting because Denton had clearly radical associations, notably with the land reform movement. (I mentioned him in my YOUNG AMERICA, and only wish I'd have heard earlier of any assocaition with George DeBaptiste.)
