Thank you for your response and the additional education. I did not know that all of her rescues occurred in Maryland. I thought that her rescues occurred in the "deep south", as I had heard over and over. I am very interested in more info, and will check out your website.

The 3,000 figure I heard at the end of a movie, "A Woman Called Moses" starring Cicely Tyson by Xenon Entertainment, narrated by Orson Welles. It was said at the end of it that she (Tubman) freed 3,000 slaves. Again, thanks for the info.
