thanks for the tips on preservation and I certainly agree with the importance, but if we don't label photos in some way (definitely not on the front) don't we continue to end up with lots of unidentified folks? I have a number of photo albums from my aunt who passed away at age 95. I could kick myself for not going through these with her and having her indentify people that I don't know or that she didn't label ( she did a pretty good job of labeling, even identifying the relationships of those in many photos). I 've passed out CDs of family photos that I've scanned in and archived. Now to do the same with my research to date. I suffered 2 near computer calamities that only back up CDs and hard copies thru the grace of God allowed me to escape a total meltdown! I plan to send my research to several family members so if something happens with me or flood, fire, etc in one part of the country, hopefully the resarch will be preserved with another family member some where else.

thanks for the reminder about the gloves...been meaning to get those.
