I worked for hours last night trying to figure out how to enter the 1st wife and the second wife.

In my family the 1st wife had three children. When she died some of those childreb are listed in later census records as if they were children of the secod marriage.

So, the 2nd wife raised some of the 1st wife's children. Happens all the time, I just didn't know how to put it in FTM and they didn't explain it the way you explained it.
