Re: iPad and Genealogy
In Response To: Re: iPad and Genealogy ()
So far I only have an app for my ipod touch. I think it will be helpful when I have to go on the road to do research. Ancestry's app, at least for me, will work as a reference guide. It always for adding photos and information but i have only added information it via Ancestry's main site. As far as the iPad goes, I had to scrimp and save to get one. The apps that run on ipod touch run on the ipad. So Ancestry's app is on the ipad as well. There are other genealogy ipad apps but I haven't downloaded any because i don't want to have two programs that do the same thing on device. There is one app which I really like and has nothing to do specifically with genealogy. It is called dragon and may be available for iphone and or ipod touch. The program allows for dictation to the device. This might be helpful if notes are needed while researching.
