Perhaps someone has already posted this item but I received an email from Ancestry.com that they have released a mobile app for Iphone and Ipod on Itunes.

Just a couple of caveats. The app is free but it might---might is the key word--be meant to use in conjunction with the web based database; perhaps it is a compliment? Secondly, my ipod (a second generation ipod) refused to run the app even though the description of the app says it works on second generation ipods.

Please use the itunes search box in the upper right corner and type in the words: ancestry.com and the app will appear.
