I have been using Family Tree Maker since its beginning and I am pleased with it. My family is multi-racial. By the way, Family Tree Maker is coming out with FTM2010 next month.

I just haven't changed to TMG. Tony Burroughs recommended TMG during one of his seminars. TMG was created by a group of genealogists to meet the needs of family history research.

Neither one has anything to do with whether a person is a beginner or not. When all else fails, read the instructions.
