Thank you for sharing this article. Another university library employee and I have been (for weeks) discussing the need to have our library's rare microfilm collection digitally reproduced for special archives. Currently the institution is making room to expand more academic computer access for university students. To date there is an enormous collection of African and African American subject related materials stored in cabinet with plans of either been shipped to the Consortium HQ to be digitized or discarded completely. I can only hope to recover these materials when I learned when they are discarded. Materials: Black newspapers, 19th and early 20th century historic academic, social and political correspondences, position papers, conference recording, etc.
Congratulations to Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis for taking on this project! These are truly splendid resources for any research project of enormous measures.
