A fellow researcher contacted me a few months ago on Ancestry.com regarding a mutual NELSON line. His most recent message was concerning tutorship record documentation he had obtained from Union Parish in Louisiana, about his ancestor Hannah (nee Bilberry) Nelson. Her surviving husband was named in the documents as tutor of their minor heirs/children in the mid to late 1890's. The document references an alternate tutor, proposed division of the deceased's property and other adult relatives. Has anyone else ever heard of a tutorship record?
