Montgomery historian Mary Ann Neeley will speak to the Montgomery Area Genealogical Society on "Christmas in Montgomery" at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Figh-Pickett House, located at 512 S. Court St.
Neeley is well-known throughout the city, having earned degrees from Huntingdon College and Auburn University.
She taught at Goodwyn Junior High from 1966-1978, was an adjunct professor at Auburn University Montgomery from 1984-1994, a research historian for Landmarks Foundation from 1978 to 1979 and executive director of Landmarks Foundation from 1979-2003.
Her publications include "The Way It Was," (with Beth Muskat), "Capital City Corners" and "Old Alabama Town, An Illustrated Guide."
