On Sept 28, 1913 an 18 year old black man named Willie Jones shot killed/wounded 22 white and black persons (including a Sherriff Hammett and Constable Kinstley (died) with a shotgun (5 of 8 killed and 6 of 14 wounded were black. He and his brother were lynched.
