To All, thanks so much for the input! My biggest frustration is that there is nothing tangible (death certificate, gravesite -let alone the whole issue with Pinckney's last name) and I guess it is just my nature (background) to find proof. I guess in my heart, I know that they are there and that will have to suffice. I may check on it periodically, but I won't continue to beat myself up over not being able to find them.
