Negro Summoned to Try the South's President Died in Virginia

Richmond, VA., July 21--Frederick Smith, colored, one of the panel of twenty-four jurors summoned to try Jefferson Davis for alleged high treason against the United States, died in the city home today. He was nearing the nintieth year of his age.
