You say he was born in Crockett, but attended Bishop O'Dowd. Bishop O'Dowd is a good distance from Crockett. I am thinking he was probably not living in Crockett when he attended this school. Crockett is a small community across the bay and northeast of San Francisco. It is north of Richmond and is near Hercules and Pinole. It can be accessed from intertstate 80 or State HWY 4. It is south of Vallejo.

Just a thought, but have you tried Classmates.com or do you have an ancestry.com subscription where you can access the newspaper archives or the old yearbooks that are online?
