Thank you for this post! I'm trying to track my runaway GGrandfather from KY & may have nowpinpointed him in the area of Quincy, IL, as there was a GEORGE CARSON a few miles from there. Other relatives are still in Henry Co., IL, so I may have found him. This article may have helped me to pick up threads of his life--now missing 20 yrs.
