AND COMMITTED TO THE JAIL OP ONSLOW
County, on the 30th ult ,a negro man -by the name
of JACK, who says he belongs to Lott Rich, of Sampson
Co., N. C. Said negro is about thirty years old, of yellow
complexion, about five feet eight inches high, and says
he was bought in Richmond and sold to Rich by Mr. Borden
about seven months ago.
Also, BEN, about sixty years old, and PRINCE, about
eighteen years old, who say they belong to the heirs of E.
Starkey Jones, of Jones County, and runaway from the salt
works on Topsail Sound. The owners of said negroes are
requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges
and take them away, or they will be dealt with as the law
directs
